1022 Olympiada

This minor planet is named after Olimpiada Albitskaya, the mother of the discoverer, V. A. Albitskij. It is not, as some sources attest, named after the Olympic Games. The minor planet that most closely matches that description is 582 Olympia, which is named after the Greek city where the Olympic Games were first held.

The symbol of this minor planet is similar to that of 1783 Albitskij, except the astronomer's star-in-circle is replaced by a tiny starburst, referencing Juno the mother goddess.
