1155 Aënna

This minor planet's name is formed from the letters "A" and "N", with a feminine ending. It is a reference to the Astronomische Nachrichten (Astronomical Notes), a very long-running astronomical academic journal founded by Heinrich Christian Schumacher. It was originally published in German, but is nowadays printed in English.

The symbol of this asteroid is an open book, with a star on the left page, representing both the field of astronomy and the letter "A", and the right page has a negative diagonal across it, representing the letter "N."
