20947 Polyneikes

This minor planet is named after Polynices, the elder son of Oedipus and Jocasta. He and his younger brother Eteocles killed each other simultaneously, in a battle over who between the two of them would rule Thebes. Another example of Oedipus' cursedness ruining things for everyone.

The symbol for this Jupiter trojan asteroid is a greek capital letter Pi with two arrows crossing it, the top going to the right, the bottom going to the left, representing the strife and mutual death between the two brothers.
