2313 Aruna

This minor planet is named after Aruṇa, the charioteer of the sun in Hinduism. He is the son of Kasyapa and Vinata, and older brother of Garuda. They both hatched from eggs, Aruṇa prematurely. He is personified as the red glow of dawn.

The symbol of this minor planet is the Sun, with a horizontal line crossing the bottom fourth representing sunrise, with two reins coming from the bottom.
