24999 Hieronymus

This minor planet is named after Hieronymus Bosch (1450 – 1516), a Dutch draughtsman and painter. He is well-known for his paintings involving Christian themes, especially his lurid and highly symbolic depictions of hell.

The symbol for this asteroid is based on Bosch's most famous painting - the triptych "The Garden of Earthly Delights." It is a 1:2 rectangle separated into three segments, with the center as a square, and a downward arrow, pointing to hell.
