261 Prymno

This minor planet is named after an Oceanid from Greek myth. She is one of the daughters of Oceanus and Tethys listed by Hesiod. Nothing else is known about her. Feel free to project your own ideas and beliefs onto the shape of Prymno; only the shadow she cast is left now, and you won't hear that complaining.

The symbol of this asteroid is the symbol for Oceanus, a large circle with a wave crossing it at the bottom, with a capital Greek letter Π (Pi) inside it.
