411 Xanthe
This minor planet is named after an Oceanid from Greek myth. Xanthe is one of the Oceanids listed in Hesiod's Theogony, but not mentioned or spoken about anywhere else. The symbol of this minor planet is the symbol of Oceanus — a large circle with a wave crossing at the bottom — with a capital Greek letter Xi (Ξ) inside. |
