438 Zeuxo
438.png

This minor planet is named after Zeuxo, an Oceanid in Greek myth. She appears on a list by Hesiod, and nowhere else in all of extant literature. What is the point of a mythical character that does not appear in a myth? I don't know. Maybe there were stories about her, they just didn't make it to the present.

The symbol of this minor planet is the symbol of Oceanus — a large circle with a wave crossing at the bottom — with a capital Greek letter Zeta (Z) inside.
