8 Flora
8.png

This minor planet is named after the Roman goddess of flowers and gardens. She is a symbol of nature, fertility, and youth. Her Greek counterpart is Chloris, the nymph of spring, flowers, and growth.

The symbol I use for this minor planet is a non-italicized variation on the long-standing classical symbol, as devised by Moskowitz. It is a curved flower with leaves, over a Venusian cross.
