85168 Albertacentenary

This minor planet was named in 2005, in honor of the centennial of the provinceship of the Canadian province Alberta.

The symbol of this minor planet is a depiction of the landscape on the coat of arms of Alberta - a mountain, with a half-circle inscribed in it representing a hill, with three diagonal strokes representing a field of grain - with a capital Latin letter C above, representing the Roman numeral 100.

There is another minor planet with a symbol based on Alberta's heraldry: 99906 Uofalberta.
