908 Buda

This minor planet is named after Buda, the historic capital of the Kingdom of Hungary, today part of the city of Budapest. The city was first settled in 1265, upon the construction of the Buda Castle.

The symbol of this minor planet is a depiction of the Buda Castle, as seen on the historic coat of arms of Buda and the modern coat of arms of Budapest. It is a concave dodecagon, resembling a rectangle with three vertical towers.
